We work closely with Oral surgeons and periodontists, who are experts at placing implants. After a short healing phase, we are ready to restore the implant(s). Shown below are some typical ways in which implants are used to enhance your smile, improve your chewing and speaking function, as well as preserve precious jawbone.
Dr. Malone has had many hours of advanced training for the restoration of dental implants. We use the latest technology to perform the most effective and advanced implant restoration procedures, in an office environment that caters to the individual's needs and comfort.
Dental Implants have become the treatment of choice for people who are missing one or more of their natural teeth. Dental implants look and perform like natural teeth. Made of biocompatible titanium, dental implants replace the root portion of a natural tooth. For single tooth replacement, a custom crown is then made and attached to the implant.

Implant Placement Preserves Jawbone
Bone needs stimulation to maintain its form and density. The bone in your jaw is constantly reinforced by the force applied by your teeth during normal chewing function. Dental Implants act similar to a natural tooth root so that the bone is sufficiently stimulated. By transmitting the natural forces of chewing to the jaw, implants help to increase bone density and preserve the remaining jawbone. Dental implants have been proven to stop bone loss.
Dental Implants Have Many Applications
Recent advances in dental implant technology have elevated dental implants to become the first choice for tooth replacement as well as being an effective tool for supporting removable prosthetic appliances.
Today, the two most common treatment options for single tooth replacement are and the single tooth implant or a fixed bridge.

Single Tooth Implant
Placing an implant and then attaching a single crown to it avoids involving the adjacent teeth. The implant crown can easily be flossed the same as a natural tooth. An implant is a more natural-looking tooth replacement method and will last for many years.

Fixed Bridge
When an implant cannot be used, a fixed bridge is an acceptable alternative.
The fixed bridge alternative requires the placement of a crown on the teeth on either side of the missing tooth space. A replacement tooth is then attached to the crowns. The bridge is cemented to place as one piece. Since the crowns making up the bridge are connected together, it is necessary to thread floss underneath the replacement tooth in order to clean the area.
When more than one tooth is missing, multiple implants can be used to permanently replace them. By strategically placing implants in the jawbone, they can be used to anchor permanent bridges without the need to involve any of your own natural teeth. Since the bridges are permanently placed, there is no need to remove any dental appliances.

A common problem for denture wearers is the instability of the dentures. When a denture is not secure, it will make it difficult to talk or chew properly.

An implant-supported partial or complete denture is a welcome alternative to traditional dentures. They are very stable, allowing you to eat all of your favorite foods. No longer will you have to worry about loose dentues in public. Gum sores will no longer occur.
