Reconstructive Dentistry Escondido

Whether you’re dissatisfied with a single tooth or multiple teeth, there are options to rebuild your smile at our practice. Perhaps you had extensive dental work done years ago that needs replacement, or maybe you’ve waited years to tend to an oral health issue. We can restore your teeth, your bite and help you be rid of the painful temporomandibular joint (TMJ) problems that often accompany the wearing down of teeth.

Dr. Malone has trained extensively in reconstructive dentistry and is prepared to evaluate your mouth, then discuss all possible treatment options with you, including costs and what you can expect from each solution.

Getting Started

We’ll start with a complete comprehensive examination that includes taking photos and other records to document the state of your oral health. After gathering all the necessary information about your goals, Dr. Malone will take time to analyze your case and determine all possible treatment options.

Your particular situation is considered at every turn. We can even arrange for your treatment to be done in phases so progress can be made according to your schedule and wallet.

Once your options are determined, Dr. Malone will sit down with you to discuss each so that you can decide how you’d like to proceed. At your appointments, we can use nitrous oxide or oral sedation to help you relax.

Neuromuscular Dentistry to Keep You Comfortable

If you have trouble opening your mouth, we can use an appliance called an orthotic and the process of neuromuscular dentistry to help you. We’ll determine at which point your jaw is still comfortable, then build up how much you can open your mouth. Once completed, we can then complete the procedure in stages as appropriate for the treatment you want such as a crown, bridge, dental implant or removable partials.

  • White Fillings: Unsightly metal fillings are a thing of the past. At our practice, we utilize tooth-colored fillings so that nobody knows you’ve received one.
  • Porcelain Crowns: A crown, also known as a cap, is a covering that looks like a tooth. It’s used to cover an existing tooth whose structure has been compromised. It matches the shape, size and color of your other teeth for a completely natural look.
  • Bridges: Single tooth or multiple teeth replacement can be completed simply with a dental bridge. By attaching the restoration to teeth on either side of the gap, it suspends a tooth to fill the existing gap.
  • Dental Implants/Tooth Replacement: If you’re missing a single tooth, several teeth or all of your teeth, dental implants are the most advanced solution to replacing them. It involves the placement of a titanium root, which can then have a crown, bridge or denture attached.
  • Full Mouth Rehabilitation: You might feel that you require extensive dental work and aren’t sure where to begin. We can rehabilitate your entire mouth with our broad array of services, selected by you based on your budget and what you feel works best to achieve your goals.
